IMPORTANT NOTICE Please note that the Newfoundland and Labrador Lobbyist Registration Act will be amended effective January 1, 2009. Amendments will allow for the inclusion of the City of St. John’s under the definition of a public office holder. This will include (i) a member of council, (ii) an officer, director or employee of the city, or (iii) a member of the board of a city-controlled entity and the chief executive officer, officers, directors and employees of that entity. Lobbyists who are lobbying the City of St. John’s will have 10 days from January 1, 2009 to register a new lobby activity/undertaking or amend an existing related registration.
