Conducting title searches of Mechanics’ Liens can provide valuable information on a
piece of property. This information provided will include: the claimant/plaintiff name and
debtor/defendant names, location of the property, document type, consideration and the
registration date.
If you are accessing the CADO application as a GENERAL USER, a fee of $5.00 will
be charged on every search that is conducted .If the searcher desires to view the details of
a lien, a further charge of $5.00 will be charged. Payment can only be made by credit card.
Accessing the CADO application as a LICENSED USER will provide you with unlimited searching.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Hints are provided. Prior to conducting a search users are advised to review the hints.
- Staff are available during business hours to instruct clients on searching the
Mechanics’ Lien registry. Staff cannot perform the searches for clients. Because
searching title in Newfoundland and Labrador can be complex, clients are
encouraged to seek the assistance of a professional search firm or lawyer.
